Kyra M. Sedgwick (born Kyra Minturn) is an American actor and TV host. She's well known around the globe, but particularly in America, for playing the principal role in the film 'The Closer. Sedgwick was interested in acting, art and Broadway from the time she was 12. Her mother had a great passion for the Broadway and encouraged her to go to the show. Sedgwick was barely 16 when she got her first professional role in the series 'Another World. The actress went on to perform minor roles on television but it was really her dream that she could be a famous actress that attracted her. She married Kevin at 22. Sedgwick is a household name on American TV through her easiness in performance. The Closer ran for seven seasons and earned her many awards including the Golden Globe.
